TGS13 — Funding rounds and investors

TGS13 introduces the funding lens: a project's fundraising rounds and the investors who backed them.

A round links the profile that raised it, its round type, date, amount raised, and implied valuation. Investors are recorded per round, with lead investors flagged. Both the raising side and the investor side are profiles (roots), so the same profile can appear as a fundraiser in some rounds and as an investor in others.

    • AddedfundingRoundsOne row per fundraising round. rootId → roots (the profile that raised the round), roundTypeId → fundingRoundTypes, roundDate, valueUsd (amount raised, USD), and valuationUsd (implied valuation, USD; nullable).
    • AddedfundingRoundInvestorsLinks each round to its investor profiles. fundingRoundId → fundingRounds, investorRootId → roots (the investor profile), and isLead flags lead investors. Unique per (round, investor).
    • AddedfundingRoundTypesEnum of round types — unknown, pre-seed, seed, series A–F, strategic, public sale, private, M&A, grants, angel, and IPO. Fields: id, name, slug, definition.

    Traversing funding

From a profile you can reach both directions of the relationship: the rounds it raised (fundingRounds.rootId) and the rounds it invested in (fundingRoundInvestors.investorRootId). Each round resolves its type through fundingRoundTypes and its investors through fundingRoundInvestors. Explore the full shape of the lens at tgs.thegrid.id.

Availability: funding data is rolling out for viewing in Grid directories. It is not yet part of general discovery, and the lens is not published for API consumption at this stage. If you would like access to funding data, reach out to api@thegrid.id.
