List of Decentralised Identity projects on Ethereum (2026)

ZNS Domains is a decentralised identity service for searching and registering Web3 domain names across multiple blockchain networks. One registered name resolves to addresses on many supported chains and comes with a customizable profile page showing the holder's activity and holdings. Registration also includes a referral program and an identity verification pass.

Layer3 Protocols provides two onchain systems deployed across EVM networks. CUBEs issues NFTs as verifiable credentials for quest completions, recording protocol interactions and transaction metadata as a persistent cross-chain identity record. The Token Distribution Protocol uses the same contract infrastructure to release fungible tokens to wallet addresses based on verified onchain activity. Both systems are open-source and community governed.

A decentralized identity framework utilizing W3C DID specifications for cryptographic identity establishment, verifiable credential management, and privacy-preserving authentication across blockchain networks.

A verifiable credential service providing batch identity verification and KYC authentication through integration with global trust anchors and social media platforms.

ENS Manager App is a web interface for registering and managing ENS names, supporting domain registration, record management, and cross-chain address configuration. The application enables users to set up decentralized identity profiles with social media integration and subdomain creation.

ENSv2 is a major upgrade to the Ethereum Name Service built on Namechain, a Layer 2 blockchain using Linea's zkEVM technology. The system provides cross-chain name resolution, individual registries for each .eth domain, and near-zero gas costs for profile updates and subname management.

HAPI ID is an on-chain digital identity system that provides human verification and sybil resistance for Web3 users. It calculates a Trust Score from wallet activity history and issues verifiable on-chain attestations that DApps use to assess user credibility. The system helps guard against multi-account abuse, gate airdrop participation, and reward verified users across multiple blockchains.

Privado ID is an open-source middleware for privacy-preserving decentralized identity. The platform enables organizations to issue W3C-compliant verifiable credentials and verify identity claims using zero-knowledge proofs, both off-chain and on-chain across EVM-compatible blockchains. Built on the Iden3 protocol, the toolkit includes an Issuer Node for credential issuance, a Verifier SDK for off-chain and on-chain verification, Wallet and JS SDKs for building identity wallet applications, and Schema and Query Builder tools. A web wallet and mobile application provide end-user interfaces for storing and presenting credentials.

XName provides omnichain domain name registration through ERC-721 NFTs, enabling cross-chain identity resolution and domain management across multiple blockchain networks using Axelar and LayerZero messaging protocols.

XHS provides adaptive proof of humanity scoring through biometric verification, social graph analysis, and offline event participation to generate user authenticity profiles and combat AI-driven fraud.

FortressNames™ is a patented naming system for cryptocurrency that replaces wallet addresses with human-readable @names. The system resolves each @name to a dynamically computed, one-time stealth address unique to each sender-receiver pair, preventing address reuse and shielding transaction history from public blockchain observers. Balance privacy is provided through the Confidentiality Machine, which blinds sender balances without requiring mixing. Selective disclosure and decentralized KYC/AML credential proofs enable on-demand compliance verification without full identity exposure. The system operates across multiple blockchains, incorporates quantum-proof cryptography, and is available via SDK and API for integration into wallets and applications.

Palau Digital Residency is a decentralized identity product that issues a government-backed digital ID recognized by the Republic of Palau. It verifies applicants through a know-your-customer process and delivers the resulting identity both as a physical ID card and as an on-chain credential linked to the holder's wallet. Digital residents use the ID for identity verification, KYC compliance with exchanges and other services, and access to ancillary residency benefits such as a mailing address and priority passes. The program also issues limited utility passes granting priority access to residency services and future ancillary offerings.

LDID Protocol is a decentralized identity protocol that converts an existing legal identity document into a blockchain-based credential. It combines an off-chain identity registry with a smart contract representation of the ID in a holder's wallet, allowing third parties to validate the credential through an API. The protocol supports zero-knowledge verification, letting holders prove identity claims to exchanges, banks, or other services without revealing full underlying document data. It is minted on Ethereum, with support for additional blockchains planned.

Human Passport implements Sybil-resistant identity verification through verifiable credentials, enabling proof of personhood without exposing personal data.

Human ID implements zero-knowledge identity proofs through Human Keys, enabling private verification of identity attributes and residency. The system offers configurable privacy for KYC/AML compliance.

Web3.bio aggregates identity data from ENS, Farcaster, Lens, Basenames, Linea Name Service, and Solana Name Service into a unified Identity Graph. The platform maps wallet addresses and domain names to link-in-bio profile pages displaying social connections, verified credentials, and onchain activity. A graph visualization feature shows cross-platform connections between Web3 and Web2 identities.

Computing ENS is a decentralized website hosting service that resolves human-readable domain names to permanently stored content. It publishes site files to a distributed file storage network and links the resulting content address to an Ethereum Name Service domain, allowing visitors to reach the site through a standard ENS name. The service is used by individuals and projects seeking censorship-resistant, permanently accessible websites rather than centrally hosted pages.

SDK for integrating Reclaim Protocol's identity and reputation verification features into applications.

idOS is a decentralized identity and data storage network that lets users verify once and access multiple stablecoin applications across blockchains. It offers self-custodial encrypted data, biometric sign-in, and KYC orchestration for compliant onboarding.
