The platform addressed the difficulty of coordinating separate providers for bank transfers, card payments, and stablecoin settlement by unifying these rails behind a single interface. Businesses could send and receive payments, convert between cryptocurrency and US dollars, and manage compliance checks such as identity verification through one integration rather than stitching together multiple vendors.

Beam's offering centered on cross-border and remittance payment flows, wallet infrastructure for holding and moving digital assets, and compliance tooling covering identity verification for payment counterparties. It served businesses such as payment platforms and money movement companies that needed to combine fiat and stablecoin settlement without managing multiple banking relationships. Beam was acquired by Modern Treasury, and its stablecoin and fiat orchestration capabilities have since been integrated into Modern Treasury's payments platform.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.
