# AquaSave > Save water by earning money AquaSave helps you save water and earn rewards by using IoT devices that monitor water usage and reduce waste through blockchain technology. AquaSave helps households and businesses reduce water consumption by providing IoT-enabled water recirculation devices that prevent waste. With it, you can save thousands of liters annually, earn AQC tokens for sharing usage data, and access water footprint certificates. - Type: Project - Sector: Developer Tooling - Status: Active - Founded: 2023-01-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/aquasave_io ## Products - [AquaSave App](https://thegrid.id/profiles/aquasave_io): AquaSave App enables device setup, real-time water consumption monitoring, and reward management. The application provides dashboard analytics, wallet functionality for AQC tokens, and historical usage data for water optimization. (DePin, In Development, Main Product) ## Assets - [AquaCoin (AQC)](https://thegrid.id/profiles/aquasave_io): AQC is the utility token of the AquaSave ecosystem issued by the AquaSave Network Foundation. It is used for governance through staking, earning rewards for sharing water usage data, obtaining water footprint certificates, and accessing exclusive features. The token operates on a Sustainable Consumption Proof algorithm that verifies efficient water use patterns recorded by AquaBank IoT devices and awards tokens when data authenticity and activity checks are met. Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation. Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
