It lets users open Credit Backed Positions, an onchain primitive that lets a trader deposit collateral and draw a multiple of that value in credit to deploy across integrated Solana protocols, rather than relying on ordinary collateralized borrowing. The protocol addresses a common friction in onchain markets, where accessing leveraged spot exposure or optimized yield typically requires many manual steps across separate lending markets. Asgard's Credit Accounts keep borrowed funds inside a bounded system tied to whitelisted protocols, so a position stays overcollateralized at the account level even though the borrower experiences it as undercollateralized credit. Execution happens through non-custodial smart contracts, so users retain control over their collateral and positions throughout.
