# Bando

Bando is a corporate treasury management platform for Mexican businesses. It lets companies earn yield on idle cash through government bonds, hold digital dollar balances, and pay international suppliers from one dashboard.

Bando is a corporate treasury management platform, giving Mexican businesses a single dashboard to manage idle cash, currency exposure, and supplier payments. It targets finance teams and small and medium companies that otherwise rely on multiple bank portals and manual reconciliation to manage working capital. The platform combines yield-bearing government debt instruments, digital dollar accounts, and cross-border payment rails into one interface.

Companies can deploy pesos into tokenized Mexican government bonds to earn a daily yield with same-day liquidity, rather than accepting the high minimums and long lock-ups typical of traditional treasury products. Balances can also be converted between pesos and digital dollar accounts to diversify holdings and manage foreign exchange exposure, with rebalancing executed directly on the platform. The underlying financial services, including bond issuance and currency conversion, are provided by regulated partners operating under supervisory oversight.

Core offerings include CETES-backed treasury accounts, USD-denominated digital dollar accounts, and an in-development cross-border payments corridor for paying suppliers in China through local settlement rails. The dashboard provides transaction history, statements, and reporting intended for finance and accounting teams. It is used by growing companies and larger corporations seeking to put idle treasury to work and manage multi-currency operations from a single platform.

## Legal

This data is provided under two licensing models.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.

Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
