# FreshCredit > Control your data. Control your credit. FreshCredit is a credit infrastructure company that provides identity verification, credit scoring, and embedded finance tools. It helps providers build credit and lending products while giving consumers control over their own data. FreshCredit is a company that builds credit and identity infrastructure for financial providers and consumers. Its platform combines identity verification, alternative credit scoring, and an embedded finance marketplace so that providers can build lending and credit products while consumers retain control over their own data. The offering is aimed at enterprises, financial institutions, and telecom providers seeking to verify users and assess creditworthiness without centralized data warehousing. The platform addresses gaps in traditional credit reporting by allowing users to link their own financial accounts to generate a credit-grade report and by issuing reusable, privacy-preserving identity credentials. Verification relies on a self-custody data model in which user information is held in an encrypted vault rather than a central database, and credentials can be presented to multiple providers without repeated enrollment. The system draws on a blockchain-based network and coordinates with a related research organization that publishes standards and methodologies for the ecosystem. The product suite includes BlockID for identity verification, BlockScore for credit scoring, and BlockIQ, a marketplace that matches consumers with credit and lending offers, alongside a consumer mobile app that ties the services together. It is used by financial providers, telecom operators, and enterprises building embedded finance and lending workflows, as well as by consumers seeking free credit reporting and portable identity. The platform remains actively maintained, with ongoing updates to its documentation and product lineup. - Type: Company - Sector: Finance - Status: Active - Founded: 2019-04-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit ## Products - [BlockID Report](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): BlockID Report is a decentralized identity and data layer that issues a dynamic NFT for users to manage financial data and produce global credit reports while preserving privacy. (Decentralised Identity, Inactive/Support Ended) - [BlockScore](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): BlockScore is a credit scoring infrastructure product that gives providers tools and APIs to build their own credit risk models using alternative data. It ingests behavioral signals, real-time financial patterns, transaction history, and verified credentials, going beyond traditional bureau inputs, while cross-lingual agents allow decisioning across multiple languages and jurisdictions. Providers retain control over scoring logic and decisioning criteria, and model outputs are published with open methodologies for auditability. (Risk Assessment, Live) - [BlockIQ Market](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): BlockIQ Market is a decentralized lending system that runs non‑custodial liquidity pools, aligning borrowing and lending with data-driven risk models and data rewards. (Decentralised Borrowing & Lending, Inactive/Support Ended) - [FreshCredit App](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): The FreshCredit App is a consumer mobile and web application that provides free credit scores, portable identity verification, and self-custody management of financial data. Users connect their own accounts to build a credit report structured from data they control, held in an encrypted vault on the user's own device rather than on centralized servers, with an optional encrypted personal cloud backup. The app integrates the platform's identity credential and offer-matching marketplace, letting users reuse a verified credential across providers and access personalized credit offers without a subscription fee. (Off-Chain Data APIs and Services, Live, Main Product) - [BlockID](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): BlockID is a decentralized identity product that lets users verify themselves once and reuse a portable credential across the FreshCredit ecosystem. It issues verifiable credentials through an external identity platform and stores them in a self-custody, edge-held wallet, using zero-knowledge proofs so users can prove requirements without exposing underlying data. Providers use accompanying agent workflows to automate KYC and anti-money-laundering checks, and an optional self-sovereign decentralized identifier can be anchored for identity outside the default credential system. (Decentralised Identity, Live) - [BlockIQ](https://thegrid.id/profiles/freshcredit): BlockIQ is an embedded finance marketplace that lets credit providers create, match, and distribute financial offers to consumers. A matching engine connects users with relevant offers using privacy-preserving algorithms that avoid exposing personal data to unselected providers, and transactions settle through multiple fiat and stablecoin rails with automated revenue attribution across the provider network. Providers access the marketplace through tiered APIs with sandbox and production environments, paying only on successful transaction outcomes.
