Gala Games is a blockchain gaming company that runs a game portal, a game creation platform, and a set of token tools on its own network, GalaChain. Players connect a wallet to play titles from Gala Games and partner studios and to hold in-game items as tokens. Bridging, swapping, and token launches for the ecosystem also settle on GalaChain.

In-house titles span farming simulation and role-playing games, alongside partner games in tower defense, puzzle, arena shooter, and space strategy genres. PlayWorks turns a written game idea into a playable browser draft that creators can refine and publish to its arcade, where daily leaderboards decide eligible rewards. The GALA token pays for GalaChain transactions and in-game purchases.

GalaConnect bridges tokens between GalaChain and other blockchains and tracks balances and node rewards, while GalaSwap and GalaPump handle token trading and token launches. The ecosystem is used by players, independent game creators, token holders, and node operators.

This data is provided under two licensing models.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.

Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
