# IoTeX > Where AI touches life IoTeX helps users build real‑world AI applications by connecting device data, identity, and blockchain infrastructure. IoTeX is a blockchain platform for real‑world AI that turns machine data into shared intelligence. It provides an L1 chain, ioID for device and agent identity, and QuickSilver for real‑time context so developers can build applications with verified, on‑chain data. The platform focuses on DePIN and AI use cases across physical systems. - Type: Company - Sector: Blockchain Platforms - Status: Active - Founded: 2017-01-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex ## Products - [IoTeX L1](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A Layer‑1 blockchain optimized for DePIN and real‑world AI, enabling secure settlement and transactions between machines and physical networks. (L1, Live, Main Product) - [ioID](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): An on‑chain identity protocol for machines and AI agents that enables discovery, verifiable data, and secure interactions across systems. (Decentralised Identity, Live) - [QuickSilver](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A real‑time AI interaction layer that converts device signals into actionable context to connect physical systems and AI agents. (Internet of Things (IoT), Live) - [W3bstream](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A data attestation and compute layer that connects devices to smart contracts using verifiable off‑chain computation for DePIN applications. (Internet of Things (IoT), Live) - [IoTeXScan](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A block explorer for the IoTeX network to view transactions, addresses, tokens, contracts, and network metrics. (Block Explorer, Live) - [ioPay](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A wallet application for managing digital assets and interacting with dApps in the IoTeX ecosystem. (Wallet, Live) - [ioTube Bridge](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A cross‑chain bridge that enables asset transfers between IoTeX and other networks. (Bridge, Live) - [IoTeX Staking Portal](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): A platform for staking IOTX with network delegates to help secure the network and earn rewards. (Staking Service, Live) ## Assets - [IOTX (IOTX)](https://thegrid.id/profiles/iotex): IOTX is the native token of the IoTeX L1 blockchain. It is used for paying gas fees, staking with network delegates, and voting on governance proposals. IOTX is also deployed across multiple blockchains, allowing it to serve as a bridging asset that connects the IoTeX ecosystem to broader DeFi markets. Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation. Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
