# Lnfi Network

> First Orderbook on Lightning Network

Lnfi Network is a decentralized trading and asset issuance protocol built on the Bitcoin Lightning Network. It lets users trade, bridge, and manage Bitcoin, Taproot Assets, and RGB assets through Lightning-native financial applications.

Lnfi Network is a decentralized finance protocol built on top of the Bitcoin Lightning Network, classified as a decentralized trading and multi-asset infrastructure project. It extends Lightning beyond simple payments by adding programmable logic, bilateral settlement, and native support for issuing and transferring Taproot Assets and RGB assets. The protocol targets Bitcoin holders, traders, and projects seeking to issue or trade tokenized assets with Bitcoin-level security and instant settlement.

Orders and matching on its exchange run over the Nostr network, with settlement executed atomically over Lightning channels and finality anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain. This structure lets peers swap assets, such as Bitcoin for stablecoins or other tokenized assets, without relying on a central order-matching server. Users can choose managed-custody trading or operate self-custodial Lightning nodes to retain direct control of funds.

Its product set spans LN Exchange, an orderbook and peer-to-peer exchange for spot and perpetual trading; LN Bridge, for moving assets across chains; and LN Node, a self-custodial node service for generating yield on Bitcoin and Lightning-based assets. Additional tools cover token issuance, launch campaigns, airdrops, price oracle data, and an NFT marketplace. The network is used by traders, node operators, and projects launching or listing tokenized assets on Lightning.

## Legal

This data is provided under two licensing models.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.

Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
