Oraichain is a layer 1 blockchain network that provides AI-powered oracle infrastructure. It lets smart contracts securely access external AI APIs and data, and supports cross-chain interoperability for AI-enhanced applications.

Oraichain is a layer 1 blockchain network built to connect artificial intelligence services with smart contracts through a dedicated oracle layer. It provides the infrastructure for decentralized applications that need verified access to AI models and external data, targeting developers building AI-enhanced applications across decentralized finance, non-fungible tokens, identity, and data services. The network positions itself at the intersection of AI and blockchain infrastructure, aiming to make AI capabilities usable in a trustless, onchain context.

The network runs on a delegated proof-of-stake consensus model with interchain communication support, allowing validators to confirm transactions while also verifying the quality of AI model outputs submitted through the oracle mechanism. AI service providers publish models and APIs that smart contracts can call, with submitted results checked against test cases before providers are paid, which addresses the problem of trusting external AI computation from within a deterministic onchain environment. A bridging layer connects the network to other blockchain ecosystems, allowing AI oracle services to be consumed from outside the native chain.

Beyond the core network, the ecosystem includes a decentralized exchange, a wallet, a bridge, and a data and analytics layer, along with a broader set of incubated applications spanning gaming, healthcare, and asset tokenization. These tools are grouped around the shared goal of bringing AI-driven functionality to onchain applications rather than serving a single vertical. This data is provided under two licensing models.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.

Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
