# Retro Bridge

Retro Bridge is a cross-chain bridging platform. It enables asset transfers and swaps between EVM and non-EVM networks using concentrated liquidity pools across multiple blockchain networks.

Retro Bridge was a cross-chain bridging project that moved digital assets between EVM and non-EVM blockchain networks. Rather than locking funds in smart contracts, it used concentrated liquidity pools held on each supported chain, releasing assets through ordinary transfers on the destination side. This approach was designed to process transfers in roughly one minute with a flat fee structure.

The project addressed fragmentation across blockchain ecosystems by letting users move value and swap stablecoins and native tokens across networks from a single application. Beyond standard bridging, it offered an advanced mode for sending assets from one source chain to multiple destinations at once, either immediately or at timed intervals.

Its core offering, Retro Bridge, was supported by secondary tools including a multichain faucet for testnet tokens, a transaction explorer for tracking transfer status, and an API for integrating bridging routes into third-party applications. These products served individual users bridging assets as well as developers building on top of the bridging infrastructure. The project ceased operations, with its team citing reduced demand for bridging across many chains.

## Legal

This data is provided under two licensing models.

Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation.

Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
