# ShapeShift > Your multichain crypto home base ShapeShift is a decentralized autonomous organization that builds a non-custodial crypto platform. It lets users trade, track, buy, and earn with digital assets across multiple blockchains. ShapeShift is a decentralized autonomous organization that builds and runs a non-custodial multichain crypto platform. Its app aggregates swap routes across decentralized exchanges and cross-chain protocols so users can trade, track, buy, and earn from one interface on the web and on mobile. Users keep their own keys and do not need an account to swap. Swaps are routed to the best available rate across integrated liquidity sources, fiat on-ramps let users buy and sell crypto, and DeFi access covers staking and earning yield. FOX token holders govern the DAO treasury and platform direction through forum discussion and voting. Developers can embed the same swap engine through a widget and an API, with a partner fee that settles on-chain. ShapeShift is the flagship product, with a classic interface and developer tools alongside it. The platform is used by self-custody traders, DeFi users, and wallet and app builders who add cross-chain swaps to their own products. - Type: DAO - Sector: Finance - Status: Active - Founded: 2014-07-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/shapeshift ## Products - [ShapeShift](https://thegrid.id/profiles/shapeshift): ShapeShift is a non-custodial DEX aggregator and wallet for web and mobile. It routes swaps across decentralized exchanges and cross-chain protocols and lets users buy and sell crypto through fiat on-ramps. Users can also stake and earn yield through DeFi protocols without handing keys to a custodian. (DEX Aggregator, Live, Main Product) - [ShapeShift Swap Widget and API](https://thegrid.id/profiles/shapeshift): ShapeShift Swap Widget and API lets developers add cross-chain swaps to their own apps. The widget is a drop-in swap interface with configurable themes and default assets, and the API returns rates, executable quotes, and swap status for teams that build their own interface. Integrators set a partner fee that settles on-chain. (Developer Tooling, Live) ## Assets - [FOX Token (FOX)](https://thegrid.id/profiles/shapeshift): FOX is the governance token of ShapeShift DAO. It is used to vote on proposals covering the treasury, integrations, and platform features, and holders can stake it to earn a share of DAO revenue. The DAO treasury is funded in FOX, so token holders collectively decide how it is spent.
