# Stargate > Move money onchain with Stargate Stargate enables cross-chain asset transfers across multiple blockchains using unified liquidity pools and instant guaranteed finality. Stargate helps DeFi users transfer assets between blockchains by providing cross-chain liquidity pools that eliminate wrapped tokens. With it, users can swap native assets across chains in single transactions, provide liquidity to earn protocol rewards, and access unified pools across multiple networks. Stargate ensures instant transaction finality through LayerZero's omnichain messaging. In August 2025, LayerZero acquired Stargate. - Type: Company - Sector: Infrastructure - Status: Acquired - Founded: 2021-06-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/stargate ## Products - [Stargate Protocol](https://thegrid.id/profiles/stargate): Stargate is a composable cross-chain liquidity transport protocol enabling seamless asset transfers between blockchains. The system connects multiple blockchain ecosystems so assets can move instantly and securely wherever they are needed. (Cross-chain Infrastructure, Live, Main Product) - [Stargate API](https://thegrid.id/profiles/stargate): Stargate API is a unified REST interface that enables seamless cross-chain token transfers between supported networks. The system provides transparent transaction data for verification while maintaining non-custodial asset control.
