# Venice > Private AI for unlimited creative freedom Venice is a private AI inference platform offering uncensored text, image, and code generation via decentralized GPU infrastructure and open-source models. Venice is a private, censorship-resistant AI inference platform that routes requests through decentralized GPU providers, ensuring user prompts are never stored server-side. Users access text, image, code, and character generation through a consumer interface or a permissionless API. Developers and AI agents can stake VVV tokens to obtain perpetual API capacity at zero marginal cost, removing reliance on traditional payment intermediaries. - Type: Project - Sector: Privacy & Confidentiality - Status: Active - Founded: 2024-03-01 - Profile: https://thegrid.id/profiles/venice ## Products - [Venice](https://thegrid.id/profiles/venice): Venice is an AI inference platform that routes generative text, image, code, and character requests through a decentralized GPU network, maintaining privacy by never logging user prompts server-side. Developers and AI agents access the service via a permissionless API, with VVV token staking providing perpetual inference capacity at zero marginal cost proportional to stake. (AI Agent Platform, Live, Main Product) ## Assets - [Venice Token (VVV)](https://thegrid.id/profiles/venice): VVV is the utility token of Venice, a private AI inference platform on Base. It is used to stake for ongoing API access at zero marginal cost, earn emissions-based staking yield, and mint DIEM compute credits. Unlike subscription-based AI models, stakers receive perpetual inference capacity proportional to their stake, making the marginal cost of AI inference zero. (Utility) - [Diem (DIEM)](https://thegrid.id/profiles/venice): DIEM is the compute credit token of Venice, a private AI inference platform on Base. It is used to stake for $1 per day of Venice API inference credit, trade on decentralized exchanges, or burn to unlock underlying staked VVV. Unlike subscription-based AI credits, each DIEM provides perpetual daily API access; minting requires locking staked VVV, making VVV the exclusive source of all DIEM supply. Model 1 - open data. The open data core is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL) — a copyleft/share-alike license allowing free use, modification, and sharing for any purpose. Attribution is required: include "Powered by The Grid" linking to https://thegrid.id wherever the data is used. Derivative databases must be shared under ODbL terms. Trademarks, logos, and brand names (marked "Special TPIP") are not covered by the ODbL. For ML/AI use: training datasets that substantially extract ODbL data are Derivative Databases and must be shared under ODbL if publicly used; models must be attributed in documentation. Model 2 - commercial licenses. The Grid Data Service (TGDS) is also available as a commercial license. See [Web Services Terms](https://about.thegrid.id/legal/web-services-terms) for commercial use that is not covered by the open data service.
